Question of Faith

September 2, 2017

The questioning of my Christian beliefs began after reading “The Top 100 Most Influential People in History” in 1985. It was then I learned Jesus was a charismatic speaker of his day–just another man. And, he was ranked third on the list, behind Muhammad and Buddha. This was a real revelation to me. Over the years, I slowly moved away from traditional Christian dogma and awakened to another version of Christianity, which was coming to light with the translations of the Nag Hammadi Text (1945) and the Dead Sea Scrolls (1945). A number of books by noted historians were published in the early ’90s. Holy Blood, Holy Grail, The Templar Revelation, The Dead Se Scrolls Deception, The Passover Plot, The Messianic Legacy and Pagan Christs, to name a few.

This historians who wrote these books provided me with a solid background. As is typical with this process, the more I read, the more questions I had. To keep the dates, events, and historical characters straight, I put together a time-line, which I will share in future blogs.
